Focusing On The Things That Keep Us Watching

INSANITY IS A RELATIVE

Good morning, GHers!

Are you guys ready for the next few weeks as Sweeps kick off? Honestly? I am not sure that I am either, but I do know that whatever happens, we can get through it together! The other thing we can do together is make sure that our voices are heard over at GH Headquarters. We cannot leave the responsibility of letting TPTB know what is working for us, and what is not, to “someone else”. We each have to share that responsibility! We have to focus on the fact that the goal is to save our GH, and that tuning out and letting it die is not an option for us! Let’s ask, demand, and beg them to fix it, by being vocal about what we see as broken. It’s now or never, friends!

Well, when it comes to Port Charles, I would think that Mayor Floyd’s successor as mayor might need to consider changing the town’s welcome sign at the city limits. It may need to read, “Welcome to Port Charles, Where Insanity Is A Relative!”

Is everyone losing their cotton picking minds in PC? It seems that every time I tune in, someone else is hanging by a thread of sanity. I thought we were at our limit for “crazies” a while back…but I guess our new headwriter has an affinity for them. How wonderful! (NOT!)

Heather is ALL. OVER. THE. FREAKIN’. PLACE! She needs to be contained – like an epidemic! Everywhere she goes, there is damage. I literally get a little tired after watching her get caught up in so many different things. Shouldn’t someone have called Fern Cliff to let them know that Heather’s “babysitter” is now himself locked up? Having Heather roam the streets unsupervised can’t be a good thing…for anyone, but Luke seems to be in the most danger of being in her “crosshairs” – apparently quite literally.  I am just trying to figure out why Luke, now armed himself with the knowledge that Heather is on her own (though she shouldn’t be), doesn’t make the call his damned self. If ever there was a time for him to take on his fake german accent and Dr. Vonscheemerman persona, this is it! Heather is a nightmare waiting to happen, and there are enough at those at the hospital already. Too bad for Maggie, it seems Heather has made a connection in her scary little head about how her son wound up in trouble, and we all know no one should mess with her son, as INSANITY IS A RELATIVE!

Liz may also find out just how personally Heather takes it when not everyone shares her unhealthy obsession with Steven Lars. I don’t think Heather took too kindly to Liz showing more concern for Dr. Keenan than to her brother’s I mean, half-brother’s plight. Oh, Heather, it’s not about Steve, dear. This is who Lizzie is. Once she sets her eyes on a sperm donor man, everything else becomes blurry. If only Heather had heard Liz telling Ewan he “had to be alright”. I guess it shows that both women are equally single-minded when it comes to what they want. And they aren’t even related! Proves that  INSANITY IS A RELATIVE!

I am not sure what shocked Olivia more. That a) Kate slept with Johnny and Sonny walked in on them, b) that she was packing up a bunch of money, or c) that she would only lend her $1 out of all that cash! I guess we all need to hope and pray that Liv slaps the Connie right out of Kate, and that someone intervenes. Connie is another tragedy on standby! If only Olivia could see that her cousin is in real trouble here, maybe then she could get  her some professional help before she pulls any other crazy stunts! But no, Liv thinks this is all a normal kind of crazy, and who can blame her? INSANITY IS A RELATIVE!

Speaking of crazy Falconeris, Dante is going bonkers over the prospect that Ronnie may have hurt Lulu! That was quite a scene Dante caused down at the PCPD, but I wonder if it might not have been smarter to bide his time, keep his silence, and follow Ronnie to Lulu. *shakes head* I guess John McBain’s one contribution to Port Charles, other than driving Jason INSANE, will be to teach the PCPD a thing or two about getting the bad guys. For Dante, this has gotta be an impossible situation. He and Ronnie are more than just partners; they grew up together, they’re practically brothers. But I guess, in the end, INSANITY IS A RELATIVE!

After Maxie’s insistence to plead guilty to two murders, her only hope of ever getting out may be an INSANITY plea. It makes me want to shake Maxie until she looks like Kirsten Storms again when I think about the choice she made and how it is affecting her family and those who love her! She has known for sure that Matt killed Lisa all this time, and yet NEVER said anything AND took the blame! Matt hasn’t even proven himself worthy of Maxie’s loyalty! What is she thinking? While I will hope against hope that the arrival of her mom can help turn this around, I am not getting my hopes up. Both Mac and Maxie let Felicia know that she’s CRAZY if she thought for a second all she had to do was show up. You don’t just get to pop in and out of someone’s life as you see fit, regardless of how it makes others feel! Funny that Maxie would want to make that clear to her mom, when technically, that is exactly what she is doing. That just goes to show that INSANITY IS A RELATIVE!

🙂

Let’s hang tough while things play out over the next few weeks! We have got to hang in there and believe in our couple!

I Believe…do you?

Angelique
