Announcing Bella Mafia’s First Ever Holiday Cheer Campaign!
This holiday season, we would like to be involved in making the holidays a little merrier for those who can use a bit of holiday cheer. In talking with so many of you, and in even developing real friendships with several of you, I’ve come to know that you guys just have the biggest, warmest, most loving hearts around.
This year, two dear friends shared their ideas for spreading Christmas Joy on behalf of JaSam Fans, and hope all of you will get involved!
First, our very own Stephanie (@soapfanfiction) actually started this right after Halloween as a way to let our troops know we are thinking of them by encouraging everyone to send their left over Halloween candy to the troops via Operation Shoebox. I thought it was a terrific idea, as our troops need a little sweetness every day!
Steph has encouraged us, instead of getting together to send Steve and Kelly a Christmas Gift from their JaSam Fan Base, to continue the Operation Shoebox idea for Christmas. Please click below for all of the information you’ll need. There are several options you can choose from. It’s up to you, but I’d love to hear from you on which you chose!
Steph has also shared this idea with her other “JaSam Diva” – Deb, from JaSam Radio, and Deb will be encouraging her listeners to get involved in this worthwhile effort as well! Because collecting monies or donations via the US Postal Service require some red tape that would slow down our efforts, I am asking that you send your donations directly to Operation Shoebox, and then simply let me know you’ve done it, so that we can compile a list, which I will then send to Steve and Kelly with a Christmas letter on behalf of all of their fans at Bella Mafia, letting them know what their fans did in honor of their hard work.
Our second opportunity to spread Christmas Joy and Holiday Cheer while helping to support another fabulous charity comes from my dear friend, Cam. This idea will not only help to spread smiles during the holidays and throughout the year, but it’s also FUN, FREE, and something your WHOLE FAMILY can do together! How can you pass this up? Cam’s idea is to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation via Macy’s. Macy’s is once again sponsoring The Believe Campaign. During this campaign, Macy’s will donate $1 for every letter written to Santa – up to $1,000,000, to the Make-A-Wish Foundation! Click the link for more information: http://www.wishla.org/node/695
This campaign hits a little close to home, as the little girl who just passed away last week was treated to an amazing family vacation at Disney, thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
On a happier note, this is a FABULOUS way to help others through a great foundation, and a great opportunity for those of us who haven’t been “too naughty” to ask Santa for our JaSam, Baby, or Wedding, or just a really great 2011 for our favorite couple! The point is to BELIEVE! You decide!
You can also have fun with your family by letting them write their own letters to Santa!
I will be sharing both of our campaigns with ABC, SOAPnet, Steve and Kelly via Facebook and snail mail, and with all of the soap mags! We could all use some positive press for JaSam and it’s fans!
If you’d like to take a picture of your letter writing experience, or your actual JaSam letter itself, please do so, and then post it on the GH Feedback Page of Facebook, here at Bella Mafia, send it to ABC and SOAPnet via emails, snail mail, or even Twitter, that would be even greater! Just please mention the campaign so that they know it was a huge *United* effort on behalf of JaSam fans everywhere! Let’s have FUN!
I think these campaigns are both ideas Steve and Kelly will appreciate. And I agree that it’s better than sending them a gift, because they have enough stuff, don’t you think?
I want to sincerely thank Steph and Cam from the bottom of my heart for sharing their great ideas, and for being such kind, loving, and unselfish people! I am honored to call them “FRIENDS” and love them both dearly!
Thanks, girls for being who you are!
Hugs, and lots of JaSam love,
